Traders have views about current and future market conditions. Those views cannot be obtained from studying historical data only. Our vision is that data about trader views helps to make better decisions in commodity markets.
We made it our mission to make such data available to companies that follow international commodity markets.
Since October 2019, Modex Trading Services surveys commodity traders. Every week we send commodity traders a questionnaire and ask them to provide their views about what the price level and uncertainty will be of three agricultural commodities after one week. We have written a white paper wherein we show that this survey data indeed contains information that is improves risk risk measures and commodity trading decisions.
Whether your company relies on data for trading, risk management, or to have an outlook, we think that our survey data might contain relevant information. As our mission is to provide this data to companies that follow international commodity markets, we offer this data to clients.
